Vaniqa is a prescription cream which is the
first and only to be clinically proven to slow the growth of unwanted
facial hair (UFH) in women. Over a period of treatent, you may find
that you need to remove hair less often. Vaniqa has been tested and
studied in the areas around the lips and under the chin.

hair like many of the products that you may be using already. Vaniqa
actually slows the growth of hair, complementing your current treatment.
While using Vaniqa, you should continue to use your current method
of hair removal. This prescription cream has been developed for use
on all skin types.
BEFORE USING: Some medical conditions
or medicines may interact with Vaniqa. Tell your doctor or pharmacist
about any prescription and non-prescription medicines that you are
taking. You should inform your doctor of any other medical conditions
or allergies that you may have. If you have broken skin, sores on
the face, or if you are pregnant or are about to begin breast-feeding.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or worries
about using this medicine.
DIRECTIONS: To use this medicine, follow
the instructions supplied by your doctor. Vaniqa should be supplied
with a patient information leaflet. Read this information carefully.
Discuss any questions that you have about this medicine with your
doctor pharmacist. To use, apply a thin layer of Vaniqa to the affected
areas of the face and under the chin. Make sure that you rub the cream
in thoroughly. Apply the cream at least 5 minutes after hair removal
treatment (for example, plucking, shaving). After application of the
cream, do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours. You should
wait for at least 8 hours between applications of this medicine. Sunscreens
or cosmetics should only be applied after the medicine has dried.
STORAGE: This medicine should be stored
at room temperature (77 degrees F or 25 degrees C) in a tightly-closed
container. It shoul dalso be kept away from heat and light. It is
permitted to store this medicine between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and
30 degrees C) but only briefly. This medication must not be frozen.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose if Vaniqa,
skip the missed dose and continue with your normal dosing schedule.
Never apply two doses at once.
CAUTIONS: Vaniqa is not a dipilatory.
For full effectiveness, you will need to continue your normal method
of hair removal while using this medicine. Improvement may not be
noticeable during the first month of use. If your symptoms become
worse or do not improve, consult your doctor. Vaniqa is not to be
used by children under 12 years of age. If you are planning on becoming
pregnant, discuss the benefits and risks of using this medicine, during
pregnancy, with your doctor. As it is not know whether or not this
medicine is excreted into breast milk, it is recommended to consult
your doctor or pharmacist as to the risks to your baby while breast-feeding.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS: While using Vaniqa,
you may suffer stinging, burning, redness, tingling, rash of the skin
or hair bumps (folliculitis), though these side effects may go away
during treatment. If any of these side effects continue or become
troublesome, consult your doctor. If you experience bleeding skin
or swelling of the face or lips you must contact your doctor immediately.
If you suffer from any other side effects that are not listed here,
notify your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
